UWT Blog On The Relief Efforts In Somalia 2012

Alhamdulillah, ever since Ummah Welfare Trust launched its Horn of Africa emergency drought appeal back in June 2011, never have UWT donors or its team showed any signs of tiredness in responding to the call of our needy brothers and sisters.

We are here on the ground in Somalia continuing our response in the blessed lands of Habasha. Join us again, whist we join our team distributing much needed aid to those who need it most.

UWT on the Ground in Mogadishu, Somalia Distributing Aid

Ummah Welfare Trust have been sending shipments containing aid packages one after the other to Somalia for around a year now. Here we have a mass distribution of 1,000 emergency food packages to poor and needy IDP’s living in temporary camps around Mogadishu.

Above: This huge UWT food package distribution along with thousands of more aid packages containing kitchen utensil sets, clothes and wheel chairs have been sponsored by the Islamic Dawah Academy in Leicester, UK. May Allah swt reward all those linked to the academy and especially its rector, the respected Shaykh Saleem Dhorat Hafidhahullah.
