UWT Blog On The Relief Efforts In Somalia 2012

Alhamdulillah, ever since Ummah Welfare Trust launched its Horn of Africa emergency drought appeal back in June 2011, never have UWT donors or its team showed any signs of tiredness in responding to the call of our needy brothers and sisters.

We are here on the ground in Somalia continuing our response in the blessed lands of Habasha. Join us again, whist we join our team distributing much needed aid to those who need it most.

Huge Food Pack & Kitchen Utensils Sets Distribution in Kahda, Somalia

We went to a place called Kahda, situated in West Mogadishu, Somalia to donate a massive 2,000 packs to very needy people.

Above: The two thousand packs are laid out neatly ready to be donated to poor and needy families.

Above: Mashaa-Allah, these 2,000 packs were sponsored by the Mahad Ash-Shuhadaa masjid in Preston, UK. May Allah swt reward the community of Preston, UK and their Imam, Shaykh Ilyas Desai who was key in leading fundraising efforts there for the Horn of Africa drought victims. I also visited the masjid late last year and was truly inspired by the fundraising efforts of the brothers and sisters there.
